Soul Winning

Prov. 11:30 “The fruit of the righteous is the tree of life and he that winneth Souls is wise”

1. There is no mention of the root, the trunk, the bark, the limb, the Branches, the leaves, the blossoms, the sap, the bees, or any of the other things vitally essential to getting fruit from this tree. The most important thing in this passage is the fruit. The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.

2. The pews, the songbooks, the choir, the music, the buses, the PA system, the Sunday School , the buildings, the radio ministry, the missionary program, the school, the church bulletin, and a dozen other things are only a means to an end.

In Psalms 126:6 We are after sheaves. (Harvest)
In Proverbs.11:30 We are after the fruit. (Harvest)
In Joel 3:13 The Harvest is ripe.
In Matt. 9:36 The Harvest is plenteous.
In Mark 4:26 The Harvest is Come.
In Luke 10:1 The Harvest is great.
In John 4:35 The Harvest is white.
We are not fishing for the fun but for the fish.

I. PROSPECTS ARE PLENTIFUL (The harvest is plenteous) People everywhere would like to be saved. We must find them.

II. MANY OF THESE ARE READY (The harvest is ripe) The Philippian Jailer asked, “What must I do to be saved.”

III. IT DOESN’T TAKE A PROFESSIONAL. (Psa.126:5) It doesn’t say “they that sow…who have a degree or have taken A Soulwinning course.”

IV. REWARDS WILL COME IN THIS LIFE AS WELL AS THE LIFE TO COME. (Psa. 126:5 “ shall reap in joy”)

V. CONSISTANT SOULWINNERS WILL GAIN A REPUTATION AND HAVE PEOPLE SEEK THEM OUT TO BE SAVED.

VI. WE MUST KEEP WITNESSING AND WAIT FOR SUPERNATURAL INTERVENTION.
