Ac 1:3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
Some of the many "infallible proofs" of Scripture concerning the resurrection of Christ:
He was dead
Medical evidence of John 19.31-35
Centurion witness - Matt. 27.54; Mark 15.39; Luke 23.47
Roman authorities announced Him dead - John 19.32-33
No one questioned then or during lifetime of original witnesses
He was buried in a sealed, guarded tomb
The tomb was made sure - Matt. 27-62-66
The tomb was secured by a large stone, a seal, and a Roman guard detail
On the 3rd day His body was no longer in the tomb
All 4 gospels say the tomb was empty
The Roman guards say it was empty
The Jewish leaders made up stories to explain why it was empty
On Pentecost, no one in Jerusalem contradicted the fact when Peter declared that Jesus had risen from the grave
Over 500 witnesses saw Him alive
The New Testament records 11 separate appearances over 40 days to more that 500 people
The witnesses had hard evidence that they had seen Jesus (Luke, "many infallible proofs")
Jesus ate with several witnesses and gave other physical evidence that He was alive.
His disciples were radically changed
Thomas was changed from a doubter to a believer
Peter was changed from a fearful denier to a bold proclaimer of the gospel
James, the Lord's half brother, was changed from a despiser to an apostleEven Saul, an enemy of the church, was changed from a zealous persecutor to a powerful apostle
