2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
How do we determine weather a thing is right or wrong. What I see as wrong others don't have any problem with. And my question is, Can we both be right? I believe the answer to all our questions can be found in God's word. So how do I determine what I should do. I can not tell you how many times the question has come up from members of my church or another pastor about how they are to decide what is ok or right and what is not ok or wrong.
We had a Christian school in Kentucky and a girl as me during Q&A time "Does the Bible say a girl can't wear pants"? And so I ask her " If I can show you, in the Bible, that it says "women can't wear pants" will you stop wearing them?" and she said "no". I said it dosen't matter if it does say it or not if you are not going to change what difference does it make?
If we are not already surrendered to what ever God's will is for us in a given situation then finding what God says about that particular thing is irrelevant.
So if we do have a submissive spirit about a matter how do we determine if it is right or not?
In Romans 14 Paul deals with this issue :
1. Receive weaker brethren, not letting weakness cause division Ro 14:1-4
2. Recognize not everyone sees things the same way Ro 14:5-9
3. Realize that a brother is answerable to God not man Ro 14:10-12
4. Refuse to become a stumbling block to your brother Ro 14:13
5. Require a clear conscience before God for yourself Ro 14:14-23

"And my question is, Can we both be right?"
I wish more of us would talk with common sense. We sure could accomplish alot more.
