Steps of a Good Man

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD" (Psalm 37:23)

We step so carelessly, never giving much thought to where our soles will land next. We assume we are walking in the right path because everything seems to be going fine, or we assume we are off course because everything seems to be going wrong.

Both assumptions may be wrong – the point is have we prayed enough? "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." (Proverbs 14:12).

You see there is no casual or careless nature to our Savior. While on earth He never went anywhere He did not intend to go – every destination was divinely ordered and every step precise. Oh that we would walk the same!

In today’s devotion ask; When was the last time you and I waited to move until we received our new marching orders? Hear again the admonition of Paul: "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer…." (Philippians 4:6).
