INTEGRITY

in⋅teg⋅ri⋅ty  –noun
1. adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.

Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

The Bible tells us in this verse that inspite of Job being destroyed without cause he held his intergity. What a tremendous testimony

A letter written to Diognetes in the middle of the 2nd century indicated how revolutionary Christian integrity was in this world of paganism. The letter marveled that Christians, "have their meals in common, but not their wives. They find themselves in the flesh & yet, live not after the flesh."
D.L. Moody said that you can tell a person's character by what he/she does in the dark.
Bob Jones Sr. said, "The measure of a man's real character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out."
I'm reminded of the woman who wrote a letter to the IRS: "Dear Sir, I can't sleep. Last year, when I filled out my income tax form, I misrepresented my income. Enclosed is a check for $325. If I still can't sleep, I'll send you the rest."

We are living in the midst of an integrity crisis. During the recent presidential election people were saying that a person's character and the company he keeps doesn't reflect on the kind of job he/she will do in public office. Huh???? In recent years we've seen a lot of preachers suffering from a lack of integrity. Coaches have been fired & athletic programs have been put on probation because of a lack of integrity. We are quickly becoming a nation that doesn't know what the word "integrity" means. And when we lose our integrity, we have lost our influence. When we refuse to live by the truth of God's Word, then we are not living the kind of life that will be approved by God.
We as Christians, must live lives of integrity so that the non-Christian world will sit up & take notice

Very good point...too many people care absolutely nothing about what our polititians get caught doing, they say that their private lives are none of the public's business. How sad!!!
